Overview

Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000

In this critical leadership role, the Account Director leads the account and owns senior client relationships. They are expected to have a full understanding of the client’s business landscape, challenges and objectives so they can operate as a strong strategic partner. They have a thorough understanding of marketing principles, extensive knowledge of experiential marketing and know client service best practices that can be applied to the varying client industries and portfolios. The Account Director continuously looks for opportunities that drive strategic and organic growth for our clients and generates revenue for the organization.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Deliver against specific, divisional business objectives that are identified at the beginning of each fiscal year
  • Lead the development of strategic plans and solutions to build brand equity and deliver results for the client
  • Provide leadership in guiding internal teams to meet client goals, ensuring that brand strategy and objectives are met
  • Oversee the project management of complex programs and manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate confidence and partnership with clients, IAT partners, and internal stake holders (creative, strategy, etc.) that always exceeds client expectations and continually raises the bar
  • Lead the development of inspired briefs, strategic plans, presentations and/or program documents
  • Write and present strong, insightful and polished presentations and/or program documents and reports to clients
  • Manage and own client relationships and serve as senior escalation point
  • Demonstrate ability to have the “hard talks” with the clients and internal teams
  • Negotiate program contracts with client procurement and vendor partners
  • Oversee the financial aspects of the programs and account(s) including - accurate budget development and forecasting, tracking, reporting, and delivery of revenue goals and growth along with SOW development and legal approval
  • Fully understand the client’s business needs and challenges (including current industry knowledge), while committed to delivering the agency’s business objectives and goals.
  • Develop, guide, mentor and coach direct reports and junior staff members
  • Support agency Leadership Team as required – strategic planning, account management, financial reporting, etc.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of agency or equivalent experience (5 of which must have been spent primarily in experiential marketing)
  • Minimum 6 years of experience working in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic concepts
  • Proven ability to build solid and trusted relationships
  • Proven track record of organically growing business
  • Proven success working with cross-functional teams that deliver positive results
  • Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • A self-starter able to work autonomously
  • Solution mindset – ability to drive projects forward through the potential barriers and guide internal and external stakeholders through each step
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Sound industry knowledge, solid judgement, and excellent strategic planning skills

  • Ability to travel (20 – 40% of the time depending on the time of year, client and programs at hand)
