Manager New Business (Denver/Remote)

What the Job is:
The singular focus for the Manager, Business Development will be assisting in the growth of Public Label’s new business success. As a member of the new business team, this driven, entrepreneur will report into the VP of New Business and help identify and actively pursue “right-to-win” opportunities and new prospects. This candidate must be an inspiring presenter, with the unique ability to quickly identify prospect needs and champion the agency as the solution. Internally, this candidate must be capable of driving enthusiasm among colleagues and various support teams. Experienced in the business development process and its many stages. Ultimately, this candidate has a proven track record of achievement that can be parlayed to deliver significant personal and professional success at the agency.
Create long-term value for Public Label, developing customers, and relationships. Execute an actionable targeted plan for new business that aligns with company objectives for growth and revenue goals. Assist in the development new business RFPs and agency capabilities and presentations. Understand the entire agency service offering, what we do well, what we believe in and be capable of enthusiastically championing it. Bring a wealth of marketing and agency contacts in a multitude of industries. Have a passion for marketing and must be a student of trends, opportunities, brands, consumers, media, the retail environment, and market disruptions. Have the ability to speak fluently and confidently on various marketing topics. Be willing and curiosity to learn and grow marketing acumen.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing
5-10 years of business development experience in marketing/agency environments.
Strong knowledge of marketing, communications, and creative services across the CPG landscape.
Entrepreneurial mindset: strong drive and work ethic, proven success in finding new opportunities, desiring to create new value and facilitate innovation and problem solving.
Exceptional communication – i.e. storytelling – and collaboration skills, with the ability to convert prospects into clients.
Understanding of the relationship building process including strategy, approach, execution, and delivery. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and excellent time management.
Strong business judgment/acumen.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently, but also within a larger agency environment.
Ability to manage and lead multiple projects and stakeholders in a high-pressure environment.
Flexibility and agility to adapt to change, comfortable with ambiguity. Travel when appropriate and necessary
Location: Denver, CO - with the option to work remotely
