In this critical role, the Multicultural Strategy Director leads the strategic relationship internaly and externally on one or more key clients.. They are expected to serve as the proxy for the consumer/customer and have an instinctive understanding of consumer beliefs, values, attitudes and behaviors. They will bring with them nuanced and deep expertise in modern multicultural advertising and marketing practices, and be eager to remain on the cutting edge of multi-cultural marketing.. They are comfortable serving as both an internal and external SME, willing to coach and guide client and agency partners toward more empathetic and genuine connections with multicultural consumers


  • 5+ years of multi-cultural Account Planning experience.
  • Extensive experience within spirits, automotive, CPG, and outdoor category/brands heavily preferred.
  • Subject matter expert for multicultural audiences, specifically US Hispanic, African-American, and LGBTQ+ audiences.
  • Motivated leader who consults across multiple accounts
  • Is the main client-facing multicultural expert and strategic voice in client meetings
  • Sets the standard for work and leads the team to brilliant data and insight driven strategies.
  • Provides innovative thought leadership and shapes the knowledge and expertise base within the Planning team.
  • Creates internal and external learning and educational opportunities for coworkers and clients
  • Beyond screening our industry for new approaches and latest trends, creatively uses state-of-the-art strategic approaches to help in the problem-solving process.
  • Comes up with new strategic approaches when his/her team members are stuck and encourages them to think outside the box.
  • Writes and publishes POVs on new solutions and/or advances relative to existing solutions and platforms.
  • Applies powerful analytical skills to every stage of the problem-solving process.
  • Senses when others are on data overload and when they need more information (and knows where to find this info).
  • Is totally comfortable in front of a group, plus has clear, direct and concise communication skills.
  • Serves as both a manager/mentor, but also accountable for producing deliverables.


  • Degree in marketing, advertising, social sciences or liberal arts preferred but not required
  • Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of client or agency marketing experience
  • Well versed in all aspects of marketing; branding, audience targeting, key message development, impactful creative delivery, omni plan development and measurement.
  • Proven ability to build solid and trusted relationships
  • Proven success working with cross-functional teams that deliver positive results
  • Command of a room: Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills
  • Solution mindset – ability to drive projects forward through the potential
  • Sound industry knowledge, solid judgement, and excellent strategic planning skills
  • Experiencing succeeding as part of inter-agency client teams
  • Experience in analyzing business performance and brining forward recommendations.
